Project Description:

Specifically the project will reconfigure the bi-directional relationships between an Academic Health Center (AHC), University of Illinois at Chicago, and its partnering community-based organizations (CBOs), NorthPointe Resources, Inc. (NRI) of Illinois and ARCA of New Mexico. The shared vision between ARCA, NRI, and UIC is that people with developmental disabilities empowered take charge of their health. CAP: PADD targets community-based research, training, and dissemination towards: 1) workforce development in community based organizations, 2) health promotion and advocacy for people with DD, and 3) capacity building among health professionals.
