Supporting the use of LTSAE materials in home visiting. Association of Maternal Child Health Programs
Project Description:
Supporting the use of LTSAE materials in home visiting is a project targeting home visitors who provide care to underserved families and encouraging the use of Learn the Signs Act Early materials to formulate discussion with families on the importance of developmental monitoring and learning about developmental milestones. Through this approach, it is hoped that home visitors will have a formal mechanism to introduce the topic of developmental screening during home visits. Overall goal is to improve developmental surveillance, screening, early identification and referral. Expected benefit: increasing developmental screening in underserved communities using the home visitation model.
