Project Description:
Children in the CA Children's Services Medical Therapy Program need an initial evaluation to qualify for services and on-going eligibility redetermination. The goals of this project are to provide these needed services. When the physician evaluates the child, the treating physical therapist, occupational therapist, social worker, or public health nurse accompanies the family to the visit. In addition to determining on-going eligibility, the service seeks to refine and improve the goals and strategies of treatment. The service also serves to educate fellows and residents about neuromotor disorders and interdisciplinary collaboration.
