        Project Description:
        L.B. 556 funded the Childrens Behavioral Health Bill  passed by the Nebraska legislature in 2012, this bill provides support for behavioral health screening, assessment, intervention and consultation referral  for children, adolescents, and families in three pilot sites across the State.  Goals of the project are to provide free screenings for behavioral health disorders in children that can then be further evaluated and then initially treated in the childs primary care medical home.  If there is a need for further treatment options or consultation, LB 556 provides for consultation from UNMC psychiatric nursing, developmental medicine, MMI psychology and/or child psychiatry.
