Project Description:
To address the purpose of the MCH Autism Intervention SDAS, the project will explore and provide descriptive and predictive analyses of the factors associated with and influencing a successful transition into adulthood for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using secondary data sources. A successful transition into adulthood is characterized by participation in one or more of the following: postsecondary education, integrated employment, and independent living. The results of this research will be disseminated publicly so youth with ASD and their families as well as the agencies providing them with services will be better equipped to plan and deliver services that produce successful transition outcomes.
