Project Description:
This project represents an exciting opportunity to work with the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services in the development and maintenance of a statewide system of training in the area of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) for Medicaid reimbursable services. Project activities include: - development of online modules that offer instruction for persons who want to become eligible for PBS billable services through Medicaid; - development of training and mentoring processes to ensure high quality training and skilled PBS professionals; - development of a nationally recognized Advisory Group who will assist in developing standards for training; - development of portfolio assessment techniques to ensure assessment of practitioner competencies; - planning for the provision of annual statewide conferences; - development and maintenance of PBS prior authorization processes to ensure appropriate billing practices by qualified professionals; - development and maintenance of a website for dissemination of modules and other information; and - providing annual evaluations of project services and ongoing reporting regarding services provided and the impact of those services.
