Project Context
For over 30 years, the Center for Technical Assistance for Excellence in Special Education (TAESE) has been the the technical assistance division of the Center for Persons with Disabilities at the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services at Utah State University.
TAESE provides a variety of services such as event planning, training, and education-focused consultation. TAESE is the organization that administers the Mountain Plains Regional Resource Center, the TASK12 education interpreter training and certification program, the national Dispute Resolution Consortium, and a variety of other State and federal contracts and technical assistance agreements.
Project Focus
1. Generate reports of special education data over time. Collect individual student level data from SD on child count, enrollment, state tests, suspensions, graduation for the past five years. Merge all data sources by individual student; generate statewide reports showing demographics and outcomes over time (both tables of data and charts will be generated).
2. Conduct Live Data Drill Downs. Meet with SDE staff members for a 2-day session and conduct live drill-downs.
