SILC-Net Needs Assessment Survey
Project Description:
Utah State University, Center for Persons with Disabilities, will conduct surveys of statewide independent living councils to determine SILC needs assessment approaches and practices; analyze the survey responses; produce a paper describing the findings and analysis of those findings; produce material for two webinars, including PowerPoint slides, handouts and other resources; conduct two webinars; provide follow-up technical assistance with webinar participants as requested by those participants; and provide substantial guidance and materials based on the survey findings as ILRU develops an on location needs assessment training for SILCs. This surveying will be conducted in support of technical assistance and training activities directed by ILRU. Utah State University will survey by telephone as many of the 56 states, territories and protectorates as feasible with a targeted 90% completion rate. Surveys will incorporate quantitative and qualitative questions and ILRU will review and approve a final list of questions prior to survey initiation.
