CDC "Learn the Signs. Act Early." Ambassador to Massachusetts 2013-2014
Project Description:
The Act Early Ambassador role is a natural extension of the MA Act Early state team leader. The ambassador is involved with virtually every activity that the state team is currently working on, since she oversees all planning efforts, advises our three task forces on successful facilitation and implementation, and coordinate many aspects of our culturally sensitive model screening protocol project along with key steering committee members.
The following activities are listed as ongoing in the Ambassador work plan: a) spread the word to state agencies working with young children and b) spread the word to pediatric healthcare leaders about LTSAE & the ACT curriculum. Meet with state agencies or organizations that serve young families to update the state environmental scan, promote MA Act Early and LTSAE, and explore potential partnership opportunities. Prioritize outreach to culturally and linguistically diverse communities for the state team and focus efforts strategically on these underserved areas.
