MCDD Parent Training Project
Project Description:
The purpose of this proposal is to conduct education, training, and skill building activities for low-income parents of children with developmental disabilities living on Maryland?s Eastern Shore. The focus of the activities supported through this initiative includes focused trainings on specific topics related to parent advocacy and inclusion of children with disabilities during the early childhood and school-age years. While the target group will be low-income families, all parents will be welcomed to all trainings and no income or means testing will be done to ascertain a family level of income.
