Project Description:
Children do well if they can. This simple statement underlies the
philosophy of the H.O.Y.A. clinic. It is our feeling that there is no
such thing as a "bad" child. Further, children are not simply
unmotivated. Rather, there are different "pathways" that lead children to have emotional or behavioral difficulties. The work of H.O.Y.A. clinicians is to identify what is causing the child to have difficulty and then help the child and family determine more beneficial means of dealing with these pathways.
