Debbie School DEB-Tech Project: Listening, Language & Literacy
Project Description:
The Debbie Institute's DEB-Tech: Listening, Language, and Literacy is designed to help parents, teachers, and caregivers learn how to facilitate early social, emotional, cognitive, language and literacy in infants and young children through developmentally appropriate uses of low-tech and high-tech technology. The program utilizes the core principals of the Literacy Express and Creative Curriculum to help teachers, caregivers, and parents understand language and literacy development of young children as well as methods developed through the DEB-Tech Project to help teachers, caregivers, and parents utilize technology to facilitate early child development and learning. Activities include teacher workshops, classroom support, and parent workshops.
The project will serve over one-hundred fifty (150) children (35 with disabilites), fifty (50) parents, and thirty-five (35) teachers at five community childcare centers.
