Project Description:
The Indiana Governor's Council has identified "libable communities" as an important strategic approach to the creation of places that support physical, mental, social and spiritual well being for people of all ages and abilities. IIDC will develop and provide leadership with the Council for multiple educational, social, marketing, training, and community development objectives related to the goal of making Indiana citiesand towns more livable for all ages and abilities. Develop, pilot and evaluate a new, comprehensive advocacy gtraining program for people with disabilities, their advocates and community elders to be held in agreed upon Indiana locations. The advocacy training program will be replicable in other Indiana and U.S. communities in coming years.
