Contact Information:
Project Description:
This is part B of a multi-center, double blind, placebo-controlled crossover study in which adult participants with cerebral palsy will receive an investigational product (dalfampridine). This drug is believed to help damaged nerves to carry electrical impulses. This drug has been show to be effective in improving leg strength and walking ability in patients with a different neuromuscular condition that has similar effects. This study will primarily assess safety and tolerability in patients with CE and will be the first step in determining a pharmacological effect in this population. Part A was designed to evaluate subjects with CP receiving a single does and has been completed and it was judge safe to begin Part B. Dr. Folwer is the UCLA Primary Investigator for this study.
