Project Description:

Need: Teachers, related service personnel, school administrators, and families often need training and technical assistance to gain awareness of, and skills related to identifying and using assistive technology options to support students' active participation in daily activities. Goals/Objectives: The LATI project seeks to increase knowledge and skills of educators, students, and families in the development and implementation of assistive technology (AT) services. Features: The project achieves its objectives in a variety of ways such as professional development, assessment assistance, and technical assistance. Expected Outcomes: The LATI project will increase educator/family awareness of AT tools, enhanced AT assessment skills among educators, and provide a resource to educators for problem solving and technical assistance related to AT tools selected to support students' active participation in daily activities.
