Project Description:

The evaluation plan incorporates mainly summative components but includes ongoing feedback on the degree to which the program goals and objectives are met via yearly analyses for student recruitment, preparation, and retention activities. The plan also includes measuring variables such as partnership quality and recipient demographics. Three primary areas to be addressed by the evaluation are: (a) the extent to which the activities are being implemented as planned (b) the effectiveness of the activities in achieving program goals and objectives (c) the effectiveness of the recipients as teachers. Quantitative and qualitative data will be gathered systematically across the 5 year program and information obtained will be used to determine effectiveness of program implementation strategies.
