Project Description:
This project is responsible for the dissemination of information related to the Center's core mission of providing leadership in, advising federal, stat, and community policymakers about and promoting opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to exercise self-determination, be independent, be productive, and be integrated and included in all facets of community life,
As resource and advocate, CDS raises awareness of ways in which it enhances the lives of persons with disabilities and their families through research, evaluation, education and services. It informs the community about supports and services that persons with disabilities need to fully participate in the life of the community.
This project disseminates information through its website, Facebook, annual report, delAware newsletter, brochures, publications, reports, the University of Delaware Office of Communications and Marketing, news releases and other contacts with the media, and through the support of other Center project activities. It is involved in community outreach, education and advocacy through the Community Advisory Council and the partnerships it has formed with agencies that are part of Delaware's developmental disabilities network.
