Project Description:
During the last decade there have been important commitments by organizations serving people with ID/DD to move away from traditional center-based models of residential and day service delivery. Some organizations have made major transformations in efforts to recruit, train, retain and support their direct support workforce. In the Profiles of Transformation Study, the RTC/CL and its subcontractor, the Center on Human Policy/Syracuse University will conduct 8 annual case studies of exemplary initiatives in organizational change in community living, employment and/or workforce development. In the workforce area, an annual national competition will be conducted for two Moving Mountains Awards presented annually by the National Association for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) and the RTC/CL at the Reinventing Quality Conference.
