Project Description:

The Boggs Center initiated the development and continues to provide coordination of the New Jersey Statewide Network on Cultural Competence. Its mission is "to strengthen culturally competent services in the state of New Jersey for people with diverse needs, and to facilitate access by individuals, families, providers, and professionals to these services." In collaboration with Disability Rights New Jersey, The New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities, the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network, and others, The Boggs Center coordinated the Latino Community and Disabilities conference in 2004, the South Asian Community and Disabilities conference in 2007, and the Arab American Community and Disabilities conference in 2011.
