Intervention to Reduce Alcohol Consumption in Youth Expose to Alcohol Prenatally
Project Description:
Project Step Up proposes to reduce alcohol consumption and alcohol-related negative outcomes in adolescents with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) by providing a brief intervention that addresses strategies to cope effectively with the pressures associated with alcohol misuse and its associated negative consequences. Parents are important facilitators of the behavior of adolescents with FASD. For this reason, parents attend concurrent but separate treatment sessions with their adolescents.
