Assisted Living Home Training Project
Project Description:
Develop, update, and provide training to 230 Behavioral Health and other Assisted Living Home direct service staff and administrators who serve Trust beneficiaries by accomplishing the following activities:
Activity 1a: Community outreach to BH ALH and other ALH providers in Fairbanks, Bethel, Seward, Wrangell, Anchorage and Mat-Su areas to educate and inform providers about training opportunities provided by this project
Activity 2a: Develop four hour class training on Mental Health basics
Activity 2b: Provide 12 to 14 (four) hour class trainings on Mental Health basics (Fairbanks, Seward and Anchorage/Mat-Su service areas) to 230 BH and other ALH staff
Activity 3a: Review and update Core Competency Training I (Corporate Compliance, HIPAA & Confidentiality, Ethics & Decision Making, Sexual Harassment & Respecting Diversity)
Activity 3b: Develop 3 hour segment for Core Competency Training II (Stress Reduction/Anger Management for staff)
Activity 3c: Provide Core Competency I (8) hour class trainings to 170 new ALH staff in Fairbanks, Seward and Anchorage/Mat-Su service areas)
Activity 4a: Provide Crisis Prevention Institute certified training (Initial CPI) to 170 new BH and other ALH staff in Fairbanks, Seward and Anchorage/Mat-Su service areas
Activity 4b: Identify and train one additional CPI Certified Instructor from the ALAA to assist with CPI Trainings
Activity 4c: Provide Crisis Prevention Institute certified training (Annual CPI Refresher) to 60 longer term BH ALH staff in Anchorage.
