Project Description:
The goal of FamSEEC is to respond to the need for highly trained ECSE teachers in the State of Florida and particularly in the South Florida community. Specifically, FamSEEC is committed to preparing 30 individuals, in two cohorts, over the course of four years, in the field of early childhood special education. It is estimated that each graduate will provide direct services to a minimum of 15 young children with disabilities and their families. Thus, 450 young children with disabilities and their families will be directly impacted by the project. The purpose of this proposal is to implement a culturally responsive, intensive, high-quality, interdisciplinary, and collaborative early childhood special education master?s degree program at University of Miami School of Education.
