        Project Description:
        The purpose of this project is to provide training and support to employment consultants that will increase the use of customized approaches to job development and strengthen the quality of integrated employment outcomes for people with ID/DD.
This project will assess the relationship between customized employment strategies and outcomes and validate a training and mentorship approach for improving the skills of employment consultants. The focus is on employment consultants who assist job seekers with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Employment consultants from 20 to 30 community rehabilitation providers located in Connecticut and Minnesota will participate.
The project is a subcontract from the Research and Training Center for Community Living at University of Minnesota, and is conducted in partnership with the RTC.
