Project Description:
Social work and speech/language therapy trainees are based in a daycare and afterschool program in Lexington County. The purpose of the trainees' involvement is to create and maintain an inclusive environment for students with intellectual, emotional, and physical disabilities in a daycare setting. These trainees will work directly with the children identified by the daycare or afterschool program staff to provide one:one interventions in an effort to demonstrate these skills to program staff. Trainees will be involved in assisting program staff to make visual schedules, social stories, and other materials that will be used with students.
