Project Description:
Guam CEDDERS provided technical assistance and training to the Guam Department of Education, Division of Special Education, in the implementation and evaluation of prioritized improvement activities identified in Guam's Part B State Performance Plan and Annual Performance Report submitted to OSEP following the ARRA-IDEA use of funds plan. Activities included:
1. Providing technical support in the service delivery infrastructure and professional development to address the programmatic issues in curriculum and instruction that have a direct impact on the instructional needs of low-performing schools and students with the greatest learning challenges.
2. Providing technical support in the service delivery infrastructure and professional development to address the improvement of performance on State Performance Plan Indicator 13, Secondary Transition.
3. Managing contractual arrangements for any technical assistance and training provided by off-island consultants, including consultant fees and travel expenses, if required, as approved by the Contract Manager.
