Project Description:
For over 30 years, the Center for Technical Assistance for Excellence in Special Education (TAESE) has been the Technical Assistance division of the Center for Persons with Disabilities at Utah State University. TAESE provides contractual services through a variety of projects and consortia in many states throughout the U.S. TAESE provides a variety of services such as event planning, training, and education-focused consultation. TAESE is the umbrella organization that administers the Mountain Plains Regional Resource Center (MPRRC), the TASK12 Education Interpreter training and certification program, the national Dispute Resolution Consortium, and a variety of other state and federal contracts and technical assistance agreements. The main focus and purpose for TAESE is to provide technical assistance in special education and to build the capacity of State Departments of Education, school districts, and charter schools to better serve infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities. Currently, TAESE has contracts in 18 States and the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
