Project Description:
The purpose of this contract is to develop and implement a project to promote the full inclusion of young children with disabilities and their families in community-based early childhood programs (i.e., Music Together and Prime Time Reading) in the Greater New Orleans Area. Additionally, coaching, consultation and support will be provided before, during and following the weekly program sessions to the professionals implementing the programs, related to adapting learning materials, modifying the curriculum, creating and using transactional supports, embedding learning opportunities within the sessions and utilizing evidence-based intervention strategies to promote participation, communication, social interaction and independence among children and families and increase the engagement of children and families outside of the sessions.
