Capacity Building: Connecting Kansans and Supporting Increased Independence and Employment through Access to AT
Project Description:
This contract supports statewide access to assistive technology devices that are available through consumer directed device demonstrations or borrowed for short-term loan by consumers with vision impairments eligible for vocational rehabilitation services or Kan-SAIL. Assistive Technology for Kansans (ATK) operates five regional AT Access Sites and an affiliate office that provide direct services to persons with disabilities of all ages. The goal of this effort is to provide access to assistive technology devices and services that help consumers eligible for vocational rehabilitation and Kan-SAIL achieve the employment and independent living goals in their plans.
