Project Description:
South Dakota Birth To 3 Connections is a program of the Office of Special Education, South Dakota Department of Education and Cultural Affairs. Birth to 3 Connections works with other agencies to support families with children birth to three years of age with identifying needs and accessing community services.
Birth To 3 Connections services are available to any family with a child birth to three years of age who has:
- difficulty learning, growing or behaving like other children in their age group, or
- a medical condition which doctors feel may need special attention, or
- whose family has questions about development or interest in a no-cost developmental screening and/or evaluation.
Service Area
The Center for Disabilities' Birth To 3 Connections is responsible for providing service coordination activities for early intervention services to the citizens of Davison, Hanson, McCook, Minnehaha, Sanborn and Turner counties in South Dakota.
