Project Description:
Title: USC UCEDD Head Start Program
Description: Over 3000 infants and young children and their families in Early Head Start and Head Start programs are served through parent & staff consultation, staff training, parent training, parent groups, reflective supervision of staff, classroom evaluation, and mental health services. The emphasis is on school readiness through addressing outcomes related to child/family/staff/program well-being. Services have been provided since 1975. Funding is from Head Start and varies between $150,000 and 200,000.
Core functions covered are: services, training and technical assistance, and classroom evaluation.
Target population: Head Start serves low income families. 10% of the children have a delay or disabilty.
