Project Description:
In 2008 Central Community College in partnership with Southeast Community College was awarded a $2.1 million Healthcare Synergy Project from US Department of Labor under the President's Community-Based Job Training Grants Initiative. The grant will be used to prepare students for health care careers. In addition to enhancing nurse education, dental and medical assisting programs, CCC and SCC will launch new Occupational Therapy Assistant (first in Nebraska) and Physical Therapy Assistant Programs. MMI's Interdisciplinary Center for Program Evaluation will conduct an external evaluation of the project.
