Arizona Response to Intervention
Project Description:
Project Context:
Student evaluation data has proven effective in providing feedback of instructional accountability for teachers.
Project Focus:
TAESE will provide Arizona educators the data they need to implement better intervention, teaching, and learning strategies for their students.
TAESE, in coordination with the Arizona Department of Education, has developed a low cost internet based website focused on Response to Intervention. This online data tracking system allows school districts to upload student, teacher, school, and district data to track progress via probes and classwide assessment of students. Data is archived and allows districts to track historical progress of students while also providing the data needed to determine effective instructions.
The system currently enrolls over 45,000 students in only its second year of usage. Targets call for the system to expand to over 100,000 students within the year and over a half a million students within the next 5 years.
Project Services:
TAESE will provide technical support, training, IT support, and data service to the Arizona Department of Education for the Response to Intervention model.
