Project Description:
The project aims to advise the Response to Intervention (RTI) Steering Committee and to pilot Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) in seven schools while growing the district?s capacity to implement PBS district wide. This process will entail: ? Training and technical assistance to the seven identified RTI school teams in the implementation of PBS. The scope of this training includes: - Establishing School-wide Positive behavioral Supports (Tier One) - Establishing Tier Two Interventions for Students with Behavioral Problems: - SWIS Data Base Systems Training and Support - PBS Surveys Training and Support - Consultation and Support at Individual Schools ? Advising the District PBS Leadership Team as they begin facilitation of this work through a 3-5 year action plan. ? Training district coordinators and school coaches in implementation and sustainability of PBS through a train the trainer model. ? Attend Steering Committee and PBS Leadership Team Meetings. ? Provide guidance and training on needed behavioral interventions, evaluation tools and behavioral data systems. ? Advising the district on integration of behavioral and academic RTI systems. ? Evaluation of the PBS process in the seven RTI schools.
