CDD Partnership Initiative
Project Description:
The CDD created the two-year Partnership Initiative to revitalize the CDD Consumer Advisory Board (CAB) and to support implementation of the Partnership Strategic Direction which focuses on partnering with self-advocates with disabilities and their family members. Examples of outcomes include:
*Networking with other UCE's - inclulding doing co-presentations at AUCD meetings and an email group
*Recruiting CAB members who represent diverse constituencies
*Creating a CAB member role description
*Creating a CAB website as part of the CDD website
*Creating CAB orientation and training
*Identifying and supporting learning styles
*Supporting CAB to be more participatory
*Establishing mentorship
*Creating a co-worker support model
*Creating co-worker support teams
*Best practice documents
