Project Description:
The Georgetown University Center for Child and Human Development, University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (GUCCHD-UCEDD) is implementing the Parent-Child Home Program (PCHP) in Wards 7 & 8 of the District of Columbia with funds from the D.C. Early Care and Education Administration. The PCHP is an evidence-based model of home visiting that prepares young children for school success by increasing language and literacy skills, enhancing social-emotional development and strengthening the parent-child relationship. The GUCCHD-UCEDD is collaborating with community agencies and the D.C. Child and Family Services Agency to serve up to 25 families with children from the ages of 18-36 months.
