Project Description:
This project is an on-going set of research, training, and advocacy activities that together serve to improve access to high-quality health care for children with special health care needs, particularly developmental disabilities. Most of this work is done through Florida's Title V Agency (CMS), and that includes administrative, training, and advocacy activities. A key component is working to bring all of the counties agencies together to create seamless service for children with special health care needs, and in particular how to integreat health, education, and social service electronic records. The research component includes examining whether care coordination services through Title V improves health outcomes. Other related activities include service on boards and tasks forces as well as technical assistance to state, community, and professional organizations.
