Project Description:
This contract with Children's Medical Services of Florida complements funding from ADD and MCHB to assure development of a competent workforce in the area of children with special health care needs. The contract supports a clinical program serving at least 1000 families, 30 long-term trainees, 2000 episodes of community education, web-based training for CMS staff throughout the state, and collaboration on demonstration projects involving medical homes for children with complex conditions. The contract has been in place for 25 years and is renewed on a 3-year rotation.
