Project Description:
The focus of the Social Work and Family Services Department is support/development of family caregiver capacities to make the best decisions possible for thier child who may have an illness and for all members of the family.
Understanding individual needs through professional assessment, counseling for care planning and decision making, the provision of social work facilitates treatment and making appropriate information and resources available.
In addition, advocacy and clinical practices are stragezied to seek , identify and remove barriers to needed services.
Service lines with the department that carry out this mission must include: Social work, chaplaincy, bereavement services, family consultants and family resource coordinators.
