Project Description:

Guam CEDDERS will facilitate training and technical assistance in the development and implementation of activities to increase parents' involvement in their children's education that would lead to their children's success in school. Project DREAMS will have consultation support on the implementation and monitoring of the early childhood "Home Visiting" program. Facilitation to include: 1. Faciliation of up to 8 hours of weekly staffing for 18 weeks with PIRC Home Visitors, to include working group meetings on the refinement of the standard operating procedures to provide home visiting services. 2. Provide coaching and mentoring for a total of 24 hours for home visitors on the Guam Early Learning Guidelines (GELG) - "Hugando" Book. 3. Conduct a full 20-hour parent training on the GELG for up to 20 parents. 4. Provide a total of 24 hours coaching and mentoring for PIRC Parent Mentors on training parents to implement strategies identified in the GELG.
