Project Title: Community Mental Health Services- Contracts for Services Project Description: The project's primary mission is to provide behavioral health services to eligible children and families. There are six service program ares: Early Childhood (Birth-to-five)Pediatric Psychology, Trauma-Exposed, School-Aged, Adolescent Medicine, and Feeding/Dually-diagnosed, each offering a range of services. Secondary focuses are upon pre-service training as this project funds the bulk of the infrastructure for the UCEDD's accredited training programs in psychology and social work. Project goals/objectives/activities: The primary service goal is to ensure that the high quality behavioral health services are provided as defined in LAC/DMH service contract, that budgeted service expectations are met, and that defined quality assurance parameters are achieved. Secondary goals include successful matriculation, training, and graduation of more than 40 full-time mental health trainees and the development of a mental health work force sufficiently productive and clinically-proficient to allow for expansion of needed serves to underservecd populations is sustained. Anticipated Outcomes: Clinical productivity- Mental health clinicians as individuals and collectively will meet anticipated, budgeted clinical services levels. Academic Success- Mental health trainees will meet achieve defined training goals and will be certified as graduates of the accredited training program. Contractual requirements also ensure that trainees are exposed to Evidence-Based Practice models.
