Project Description:
The Center on Emergent Disability (changed to the Center on Epidemiology and Demography of Disability in 7/03) is a broadly conceived national research effort that seeks to characterize the changing impact of major demographic, health, social, and economic trends on the manifestation of disability in America. Core activities of the Center include: the study of emerging disability trends at the state level, analysis of state systems of support and rehabilitation, secondary analyses of majornational data sets, evaluation of public health surveillance systems, policy analysis, and dissemination of research findings.
