Project Description:
The Including Samuel Project's mission is to build more inclusive schools and communities through curriculum, training, and outreach. A centerpiece of this effort is the award-winning documentary film, "Including Samuel," which honestly chronicles the Habib family's efforts to include Samuel, who is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, in every facet of their lives. The film also features four other families with varied inclusion experiences, plus interviews with dozens of teachers, young people, parents and disability rights experts. Dan Habib, father of Samuel and creator of the film "Including Samuel," introduces the film and follows the viewing of the film with an open dialogue with students and teachers regarding issues raised by the film.
