Fiscal Year:
2010
Contact Information:
Project Description:
The Training Into Practice Project (TIPP) seeks to provide opportunities for early care and education trainers and faculty to (a)develop and enhance their skills as trainers of adults working with young children and their families and (b)to obtain and maintain a Kentucky Early Care and Education Trainer's Credential. TIPP also coordinates online instruction for orientation of new child care staff and for initial training of new directors. In addition, TIPP provides face-to-face training sessions for child care directors and staff in the screening process and approved tools for Kentucky, in classroom/instructional assessment and approved instruments, and in authentic methods for assessing young children. The expected benefit of these training activities is implementation in child care programs resulting in higher quality child care services for young children and their families.
