Project Description:
Guam CEDDERS will facilitate training and technical assistance in the development and implementation of activities to increase parent involvement in their children's education that would lead to their children's success in school.
Outcome#1: Project DREAMS will have an early childhood needs assessment report that includes early childhood parental involvement policies, programs, and activities for young children birth to five and their families.
Outcome #2: Project DREAMS will support an island-wide strategic plan based on input from the DREAM Teams.
Outcome #3: Training will be facilitated utilizing the Parents as Teachers (PAT) program and the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) program to enhance parents' capacity to support their child's development.
Outcome #4: Training will be conducted for Project DREAMS parent Mentors on ALONG Parent Curriculum: All Learning Opportunities Nurture Growth (ALONG)--Curriculum Based on its four modules: Moving Along, Playing Along, Reading Along, and Getting Along and the Guam Early Learning Guidelines.
Outcome #5: Parents will have increased knowledge and skills on how to help their child with school.
Outcome #6: Guam PIRC will submit the Annual Performance Report to U.S. Department of Education for Year 2.
