Learn the Signs. Act Early Campaign
Project Description:
The Louisiana Louisiana Act Early Team members have been involved in a number of activities related to the state team plan developed at the Region VI Act Early Summit. These activities included developing relationships with key stakeholders form the State Autism Team (SAT), disseminating Learn the Signs. Act Early. (LTSAE) campaign materials, and securing funding for a service delivery model pilot for infants and toddlers with autism or a suspected ASD. The Act Early Team intends to use the mini-grant funding in part to hold quarterly meetings to recruit key stakeholders and engage them in activities which will improve early identification and intervention in our state. The funding will also support the coordination and expansion of family-centered resources primarily through the development and dissemination of state and local resource guides for families of young children with ASD. Output indicators would include the number (regions/ localities) and types of resources developed (print/ web-based) and the number of materials disseminated.
