The purpose of the Real Choice project is to develop and implement strategies to elevate the status, image and benefits of the occupation of frontline workers caring for persons in the aging community and persons with disabilities in order to strengthen recruitment and retention of those workers. An improvement in consumer access to quality care is the desired outcome of efforts to strengthen recruitment and retention.
The methodology will be to implement a statewide public awareness campaign to recruit and retain frontline workers, in cooperation with efforts made under the Personal Assistance Services and Supports (PASS) grant from the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services.
