Indiana Infant Mental Health Mentorship Connection
Project Description:
An opportunity for early intervention providers to learn about important advances in infant mental health within a small group setting with the guidance of a psychologist, social worker, or psychiatrist.
Early intervention and early childhood providers learn more about important issues that can impact the ability to work effectively with families. Topics include family relationships, fathers, attachment, behavior management, child abuse, and parents with challenges. Participants learn strategies that can be used to help families seen on a daily basis.
Groups complete modules on each topic consisting of readings, mini-lecture, vignettes, and other activities. Participants have a chance to discuss situations from own practice at each session.
