Student's Website on Employment & Transition
Project Description:
This project will develop a Florida specific web portal for youths with disabilities, their families, and service providers on information about transition and employment. The proposed website will be located at an easy to recall Uniform Resource Locator (ULR). At the time of this proposal, the URL of www.floridatransition.org was available. Once approved, the domain will be secured for at least three years initially, renewable during subsequent years.
The project will be a collaboration between the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service (UCEDD) at the University of South Florida, TransCen, Inc., a nationally known consultation and training organization from Rockville, MD, and Dale DiLeo, a nationally recognized expert in supported employment and transition.
The UCEDD will be the lead agency for the project, providing all administrative support, project reports, and advisory meetings. It will also own the web site and be responsible for its continuation and sustainability. The UCEDD will be the lead agency for handling Florida-specific content and answers to questions related to Florida resources and concerns. In addition, it will also develop state-specific content for the web. [Add more?]

The web site development will be overseen by Dale DiLeo, a consultant who has developed web training courses and elearning and networking over the past three years, both for Florida and nationally. He is the author of Florida?s only approved, and highly-rated by users, web course in supported employment.
