Project Description:
The Evaluation of Direct Support Professionals Retention Project will evaluate the effects of the use of a Health Resource Account on direct service staff recruitment and retention. Under the direction of the NM Department of Health, Long Term Services Division, the Contractor will coordinate the NM Demonstration to Improve the Direct Service Community Workforce Project with stake holders (ADDCP, Providers, Direct Support Health Care Advisory Council (DSHCAC), Insurance Brokerage Firm and the Insurance Carrier). This is a three year federal grant project with a potential for renewal annually. The Contractor will: 1. Organize and participate in monthly meetings (minimum) with LTSD Staff assigned to the NM Demonstration to Improve the Direct Service Community Workforce Project to exchange information and receive assignments. 2. Coordinate meetings and activities with stakeholders including: ADDCP, LTSD Service Provider Agencies, Direct Support Health Care Advisory Council(DSHCAC), Insurance Brokerage Firm and Insurance Carrier. 3. Coordinate the development, monitoring and evaluation of the Health Reimbursement Account program. 4. Develop program descriptions and trainings for the Health Advisory Council. 5. Facilitate meetings between the Health Advisory Council, ADDCP, insurance broker and carrier where desired options are discussed and selected. 6. Monitor the enrollment and coverage activities, including meetings with LTSD service provider agencies to plan and arrange HRA's. 7. Develop training and promotional materials (flyers, informative brochures, annual reports, etc.) for the Project. 8. Work with insurance carrier to ensure proper documentation regarding the HRA. 9. Work with provider agencies on identifying any issues that may need to be addressed. 10. Present information in large and small groups within various communities in New Mexico.
