        Project Description:
This study is funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, we are conducting a series of studies on persons with Prader-Willi Syndrome and their families. We aim to understand the ?whole person? with PWS?their strengths as well as problems--and how these features relate to: underlying genetics of PWS, families, neurochemicals that help regulate mood and appetite, aging from childhood through old age, successful life outcomes with food, work, daily living, leisure. By identifying how behavior relates to genetic subtypes, families, neurochemistry, and aging, we can develop more precise behavioral and dietary interventions that lead to positive outcomes for persons with PWS and their families.
